​Electricians and Labourers
BFT Electrical is growing and we’re looking for qualified and experienced Electricians to join us as we expand into new projects and locations.
Multiple roles available:
Solar and Battery installer – to manage a small residential installation team
Electrician – for varied work including new house builds and event set up.
Competitive rates commensurate with experience.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will require a flexible attitude and be open to working in multiple locations across the week. You will be self-motivated and able to work autonomously without continuous supervision. You will have direct contact with our clients and their customers, and respect and professional conduct are a must for this role. The main duties will include but not be limited to:
  • Deliver safe, high-quality electrical installations.
  • Work directly with customers, providing clear, professional communication.
  • Coordinate and oversee other trades, labourers, TAs and apprentices when required.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and standards.
  • Liaise with customers and contractors, manage site handovers and documentation.
  • Provide progress updates to the team and management.
  • Be available for occasional shift/weekend work and short trips away (typically 1–2 nights).

 
About You
Along with a strong work ethic and previous experience in a similar role you'll have/be:
  • 2–5 years’ experience post-apprenticeship (ideal).
  • Practical understanding of solar installations.
  • Strong knowledge of QECM and AUSTRALIAN Electrical Standards.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation and testing.
  • Ability to lead and humbleness to be learn from others you work with.
  • Residential rough-in and fit-off experience.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to work across multiple locations through the week.
 
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Open Electrical Licence – QLD
  • Australian work rights - essential
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements
  • Current driver’s licence (QLD/AUS)
  • Construction White Card
 
Highly regarded (not essential):
  • Solar SAA Accreditation (or be willing to obtain)
  • ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence
  • RIIWHS204E – Work Safely at Heights
  • HLTAID009 – Provide CPR
  • UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from live LV panel
  • Light rigid truck licence
